Barn Study No 1

I have been creating for as long as I remember— as a little girl, I always made sure to get lots of paint and marker on my hands because it made me look “like a real artist”— but it wasn’t until early 2026, after discovering a love for oil paints, that I began to seriously pursue art. I feel most myself with a brush in my hand, and love the way the paint spreads like frosting onto the canvas. Florals and landscapes are my bread and butter, though I also draw Live Doodle Portraits at both markets and private events— the balance between time-consuming oil paintings and quick and colorful sketches keeps things fun! Living in Logan, Utah, with my husband and our kitten Bjørn, I am student studying creative writing and marketing design, though my ultimate goal is to fill my days with as much creating as possible, all in an effort to make proud my younger self with the painted-stained hands.
